Aromatherapy for Unwanted Invaders

I’d like to share some aromatherapy tips and ideas for using essential oils to aid and assist with unfriendly and un-welcomed invaders.

Aromatherapy has historical data dating back over 9000 years describing its antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-infectious properties, just to name a few. Hospitals during WWII used essentials oils of lemon, clove and thyme to disinfect the hospitals. There are several oils that may prove beneficial in fighting or combating infections, viral concerns such as warts and herpes, fungal skin irritations maybe from yeast and candida, and bacterial issues such as MRSA and staph infections.

All 100% pure essential oils are antibacterial. They vary in other properties such as antiviral, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and so on. Today, we are going to talk about those oils that are all 4 - antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-infectious.

Oregano is one of the strongest essential oils I have found to fight severe staph and MRSA infections. I especially like to add it to the silver shield gel. Oregano is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral. It can be irritating to the skin so it needs to be diluted in carrier such as massage oil, gel or plant based enzymes. Emotionally, it is

Thyme is another great choice to fight fungal, viral and bacterial infections. It too can be irritating to the ksin so diluting it in a carrier is highly recommended. There are times when I’ve had customers apply Thyme neat (undiluted) to the top of a wart to help destroy it (applied with a Q-tip so the drop didn’t run down the skin. Emotionally, thyme may help

Clove is historically known for its analgesic (pain-relieving) properties. It has been commonly known to fight gum infections when applied topically. If there is an infection anywhere on the body, this can be added to a blend to bring some quick pain relief. This oil too can be irritating to the skin so it should be diluted although I have applied it undiluted to a toothache and got great results. Just be careful to not touch the lips or side of the mouth as this area may go numb and you may slobber.

Tea Tree is one of the most researched essential oils. It is commonly used for toenail fungus. Personally, I find that it works much more effectively when combined with Patchouli, plant-based enzymes and silver shield and sprayed topically several times throughout the day. Tea tree is an astringent, antiseptic, antibacterial and antiviral. It can help clean a wound, fight infected acne, cuts, scrapes and ingrown nails or hair. Emotionally, tea tree

Nature’s Fresh, which is a plant-based enzyme spray is very activating to the body – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When applied topically or taken internally, it may drive the formula deeper into muscles, tissues, tendons, ligaments and bone. So for infections deep within the body, I like to use this as my base and add oils of thyme and frankincense as these oils have some of the highest potential for going deep into the body. If you take this internally, I would not recommend adding any essential oils unless you’ve had proper training or are working with a trained aromatherapist.

Nature’s Sunshine’s Detoxification Homeopathic is a great addition to any anti-infectious program. You can take it straight or add several droppers to any aromatherapy blend. Stay healthy!
